Everyone interested in building up an independent network is welcome to this workshop. Christoph Wachter & Mathias Jud have already installed big networks together with Chinese and Syrian activists as well as in the banlieue of Paris. Here in Fribourg they will explore the possibilities and limits of our communication devices and connect them via WiFi to qaul.net building an autonomous network that works independently from mobile service providers and the internet. In order to expand its range to several kilometres, and together with the audience, they will tailor antennas out of tin cans.
